Here are some day 1 and day 2 snapshots of a piece I got started this year. It had been tapping me on the shoulder for a while, as I would look at it at different times of year. I did a larger plein air "false start" piece a couple years ago, and a small sketch from a different angle, which all helped me figure out that I wanted to paint this view, at this time of year.
