This is my first season on this piece, but my second try with the idea. Below this top one is a canvas I had started 2 years ago, but set aside with some dissatisfaction and questions. My new composition brings us a little closer to the light effect that I love on the stream, which carries a lot of the emotion of what the piece is about, the joys of seeing the earth coming alive again throughout early spring.

The different views here are only about ten yards apart, but I found the difference worth the effort. My nickname for the first one here would be: "Path and Stream," while the new one would be: "Path and Streeeeeeeeeeeeaaaam," which I like.
