The forest is so bright at this time of year. The newest leaves have sprouted, but they're not making much shade just yet. It is that newness of green and bright sun that inspired this painting, and I chose this unique cluster of trees which I've nicknamed "Family Tree."

At this time of year, I can't help but feel a little bit bad quashing some of the tiny greenies where I stand. I put some sticks under my bag to try to help. Sorry, we artists are on the sensitive side ... but we certainly do "leave only footprints" : >)
