I have so loved spending September-October afternoons with these Basswood trees for a few seasons now. This year I got to refine the leaves some, get to the finished version of the water, and finally get the foreground working. It displays many arrangements of light and shade patterns there, and I just let the different moments strike their chords in me and lead the way. Just the lower left to go for next year. |

September starts to signal "early autumn," and this grouping of Basswood trees puts on a great display by being among the first leaves to turn and then begin to fall. Their Maple neighbors have a very different opinion of September, and the mix is fun to watch. Here is my easel at work as "the show" for the year has come to its peaceful ending. |
