As soon as enough of the leaves fall from the trees around mid-October, the lower arc of the sun fills the stream with its light in the later afternoon. I was so taken by all of its drama and motion that I did not mind taking a few seasons to work and grow to get to this. Fortunately, the stream was very patient and generous in the retelling of her stories : >)
This is the same perch as my "Marchshhhhh" morning painting, except my easel is facing the other way. I really do love this spot, and several hikers have shared that they feel similarly. Glad this little bend in the stream has its own fan-club : >)
