I have had 2 seasons on this backyard plein air painting, and even though it shows slightly slow-going, it's just too fun to paint with it in person not to do it this way. I've been learning a lot about the blossom colorations. The top blossoms were done in a previous year, and the lower ones were done most recently. I'll look forward to seeing how the bush evolves and painting more of them.

You can see in this photo that the "Pink Party" for the year has reached around 2 am ... I was painting leaves in this last session, and will look forward to see what the bush will offer next May : >)
