It felt so good to finally go after painting the water this past spring, and as it turned out, the water was almost entirely repainted. The familiarity of seeing it a few seasons has really helped. I'd like some more looks at the middle sections next year, and the lower right half is unfinished as well. See you next spring stream stones!

Here's my easel at work a little beyond the season for this piece. You can see that the leaves have been growing and starting to cast shade where before there was none. I kept going because of how near to finish the piece was getting. It got slightly comical how unlike early spring the forest path became during those last sessions ... fortunately, the canvas is light enough to be easily carried overhead : >)
