The season for this piece is through the time that the understory leaves change and start to thin. The qualities of color are really something, and they bring with them their own urgency to paint as quickly as possible : >) After they do fall though, the quality of light all around the tree changes too much to continue. I'll look forward to seeing it all again next autumn.
