The paradox of this painting is the pairing of its inherent tranquility with the exhileration of chasing after the light effects that are a little dramatic and somewhat brief. I use my normal approach, which includes the idea that whatever doesn't flow off the brush quite right today, can be revisited tomorrow, or as many tomorrows as are needed. I will look forward to more of those days when summer returns. |
