The beauty that this subject displays is a kind of spectacular, which is both inspiring and a little intimidating. It has continued to require me to manage my emotions, and remember to stay calm, trust, and try in paint. I needed to exercise a little extra discipline this year to avoid my love for the light on the water, and focus on the center above and below sections. The path we're seeing is in danger of toppling into the stream, and I realized that both the water and the left will remain if that were to happen. I'll hope all these trees will still be there next September, so I can finish painting them from life.
