This plein air painting experience was so unique. There wasn't one day where this group of flowers looked just like the painting. The flowers took about 4 different days to paint, and I reacted to what was there, with one eye on what might be tomorrow. It was all very instinctive and reactive. In a way, these flowers really did grow this piece
