I had stopped working on this piece a few years ago as dissatisfaction with it grew, but walking by this spot repeatedly, my love for it just wasn't going away. The phase 2 image is a little unusual, but I noticed that the ghost of the past could help illustrate the recomposing of the same stuff into new locations. I was so much happier this summer, dealing with my usual problems around: "What color is that?"
